What has gotten into me

I woke up before seven this morning. I had put the alarm on for eight so that I could go do my laundry but since I woke up at seven I just took my washing down then instead. So now I am finished and can relax until I go to Uni later.
But I still don't know what has gotten into me. I think it is excitement of going home in just 2 days. Yup, two days. The day after tomorrow.
I am going shopping today for the last time (I say) before I go home.
Desperate Housewifes are on tonight and then tomorrow Árdís will go home. Lucky she, going tomorrow but I have to wait for the Day after Tomorrow. But I am just soooo excited, looking forward to seeing all my friends and family. It is going to be sooo nice.

Shopping mad

This is sooo me. I am injured, can hardly walk, but just give me some painkillers and I am off shopping. The funny thing was that I went to sleep last night at one o'clock am, not bad, then the next thing I know it is twelve noon. I got a shock, I imediately checked my phone because Árdís and I had planned to go shopping today, which in the end we did. Got into the city center at one and had some lunch. Then we hit the stores and shopped till we dropped, or at least I. I could hardly walk when I came back to my room, and the clock showed that it was nearly six o'clock.
My foot is now really swollen and hurting but I am hoping that a good nights rest will get the swelling down for tomorrows school.

I had a wee accident - long story

Yup, you know knowledge is best gained through experience. I took a wee misstep and my ankle went all kablooey and pain shot through to my knee as well. All in my famous left leg. I happened just after 2 o'clock and I got home around 2:30, because I first had to take care of Accommodation matters. Then I had to walk all the way down to Byres road and it hurt like hell because it is a very steep way down. Took a taxi home (which had this in the window; Cab drivers: proof that practice doesn't make perfect!, which I kind of find funny. I am easily amused). Took Ibuprofen 400 mg and felt fine, so I went to meet my friend Laura, had nice time had coke and carrot cake and then went back home. After that everything went from bad to worse.
Took more painkillers, at seven o'clock. Ordered pizza for me and Dee although I didn't have much appetite. Came back in and tried to put cold on my ankle didn't work, put some inflamatory reduction cream ... didn't work, took 2 tablets of 500 mg Panadol and at 10 o'clock it hadn't started to work. Mom phoned and I told her what had happened, and she basically told me to get my ass to an E.R. to get THE ANKLE checked out (not my ass).
I asked Dee what I should do and he was certain I should have it checked out and offered to phone for a cab. I contacted Árdísi and asked if she was busy and if she wanted to accompany me, Dee couldn't because he was on duty. So we went to the Accident and Emergency thingy at Western Infirmary and that is a new adventure.

We entered the A n' E and was registered there and then told to just sit and wait for my name to be called. Árdís wanted to be sure I would take her in with me when I was called, and I definitely wasn't going to leave her out there alone. There were two police officers at the A n' E and of course it wouldn't be an E.R. if there wasn't a drunk person there as well.
It really felt like stepping into a film studio, I really felt like Mr. Bean coming into a British Hospital, almost like cut from a medical scene some thirty of fourty years before. And not as clean as you would like a hospital to be I must say.
But it is a large city so you must make allowances, there are a lot of things that can go wrong in a city this size.
Well, after waiting for an hour I got to meet a doctor. He stuck his nose out a double door and called three names. So off we went, we were shown to a room where I was asked to sit down, the other two were moved in as well. I was next to the door and then they closed the drapes. The doctor poked my ankle a bit and because I didn't hurt in the places he wanted me to hurt in I had only sprained my ankle and they didn't need to take any x-rays. The doctor basically told me to just keep on with the painkillers and icepacks and also gave me a tubesock and to keep my foot elevated. And that I could then just go. I didn't even need to pay for this, for any of it. Everything free. Cool!!!

We then took a cab home and when we came here we were both so wound up that we just sat down before the television and watched Alien vs. Predator. Ok, movie but rather stupid at times. No more so than any other alien movie though so not too bad.

Well am going to bed now, to keep my foot elevated and no shopping tomorrow. I'll see about Sunday though. If everything else fails I'll just get some crutches, hehehehe.

Rotten exam table

Bugger all, I got my exam table yesterday and it is not pretty. I will have to take four exams, which means two in Gaelic, ooo je, I can just hear people cheering "who's stupid enough to study Gaelic anyway". My first exam I get as a birthday preasant, on the 24th of May I get Celtic Civilisation and right the day after my first Gaelic examn. Then, not until the 2nd of June do I have my History Medieval Level 2 exam and the day after that my second Gaelic exam. So I will not be able to come home until the 5th of June, just hoping that I can get a flight home then.
Gaaaaaaaa, sometimes I just wish to kick someone. Árdís is lucky she finishes before the end of May, she always does this, last year as well. And then I will be going home to work. But I am actually looking forward to that. I know... "what's got into her now", "well, just momentary insanity and want I also want a change of scenery".

Nothing

I have nothing to say really. I am very boring now. I want to say something funny, but the only thing that I can think of is not funny at all.
Two blondes walked into a building. ...
You would have thought at least one of them would have noticed!
You see! Nothing funny at all.
But today is my friend Lauras birthday and I am still trying to get in touch with her and find a time to meet up with her. She is busy, I am busy, everyone is busy right now. Everyone is trying to write their essays before going home for Easter and get ahead in their studies so no break for those that just want to have fun with their friends.
I am now going to laze away the evening before I go to bed to wake up for another wonderful day in school.

Can't wait until tomorrows conversation class in Gaelic, we are going to be talking Computers ... in Gaelic naturally, so basicall it's going to be Coimputaireachd everywere. Which reminds me I have to cur mo pháiper tron an cló-bhualadair so that I can hand it in tomorrow.
